RAID 6
RAID level 6 is essentially an extention of RAID 5 which implements a second independent distributed parity scheme. RAID 6 can handle the failure of any two drives in the array while other single RAID levels can handle at most one fault. It provides the highest level ever of data protection without sacrificing the performance.

S.M.A.R.T. Optimization
AXUS has recently implemented advanced solutions on the existing RAID products, which provide more powerful, stable, reliable, and clever functions on Demon RAID series.
1. BBM Module
2. Supports Slice over 2 TB for MS Windows base OS.
3. Utilization of HDD’s default S.M.A.R.T. funtion.
AXUS implements a NEW F/W engine that utilizes the S.M.A.R.T. function to monitor and report HDD status, and to fix errors in advance. The data availability will be much stablized with the aid of these advanced new features. The major functions in the F/W are Disk Self Monitoring,Disk Scrubbing and Disk Cloning

1. Disk Self Monitoring
AXUS’ new F/W enables to monitor the HDD installed in DemonRAID series, and reports if any unhealthy status occurred.
2. Disk Scrubbing
AXUS’ new F/W enables to recover bad sectors and fix the parity errors to prevent predictable data loss.
3. Disk Cloning
AXUS’ new F/W enables the controller to process disk cloning, either automatically or manually, on the spare HDD installed when the number of bad sectors remapped in the remap area is over the threshold specified by users.
